Your library is your place to go for information - including about the upcoming election. Get informed before you vote!

REFERENDA:

 

There is one State Referendum and four County Referenda on the November 4, 2014 ballot. You will find a document listing the questions and explanations for the four County Referenda, along with a sample ballot, at the Library. The Shorewood Village Clerk highly recommends reviewing the referenda before Election Day. Being informed will keep lines moving quickly and minimize your time in the voting booth. 

 

Stop at the information desk any time to read the referenda as you prepare to vote. You may also access the State Referendum information via the Village of Shorewood website here, and the County Referenda here.

 

VOTER REGISTRATION:

 

We often get asked if we take voter registration at the library. Unfortunately, we don't but we can point you to our neighbors at Village Hall who do: Please visit the Village Hall Clerk's office to register to vote in advance of the election. Voter registration takes place in the Clerk's office, 3930 N. Murray Avenue, until Friday, October 31.  

 

You may also register to vote at the polling locations on Election Day. Proof of residence is required to register to vote.  

 

You will find on the Village of Shorewood website both additional information on voter registration and the Shorewood polling locations.

 

EARLY VOTING BY ABSENTEE BALLOT:

 

Early voting in the Clerk's office begins on Monday, October 20 and ends on Friday, October 31. No proof of identification is required at this time.
