Story Time
Toddler Story Time (ages 21-36 months)

Lego Saturday
with Special Guest


Saturday, November 15, is Lego
Saturday and special guest Gordon Lubbers, owner of Bricks 4 Kidz, will be here from 9:00am-1:00pm for build-for-free fun!  Gordon will supply special architect/engineer designed model kits and instructions for kids (ages 6-12) to enjoy.   He will also bring along the "Brick Jar" for you to guess the # of Lego bricks and win a free Bricks 4 Kidz hosted birthday party!    

  

Drop in and join the fun (our Legos will also be available all day)!
Nutcracker Tea

 

 
On Tuesday, November 18 @ 4:00pm, Edra Toth, Artistic Director & Founder of Northeastern Ballet Theatre, will be in the Lecture Hall with some of her dancers to  
perform highlights from their show,
The Nutcracker. Edra will then conduct a mini class to teach the audience how to do the Russian dance!
  Please join us for this special ballet preview. All are welcome. Refreshments will be served.

Vote!

It's time to vote for your favorite 2014 Ladybug Picture Book! All ballots are due @ Center for the Book by December 12, 2014. Ask for a ballot in the Children's Room.
 

 

Paws for Reading

Murphy, a Certified Therapy Dog, and her handler Karen, will be in the Children's Room Saturday, November 1 from 10am - 11am. 

 

Sign up to read to Murphy for a 10-15 minute  
reading session during this time or drop by for a visit and a chance to read.

Artistic Happenings

 

Creation Station    

Children of all ages are invited to make a "Turkey Stick-puppet" anytime during the week of November 17-22.

 

Art Wall 

Art work from the following schools will be on display during the month of November:
Dover Middle School-October 31-November 20
St. Mary's Academy-November 21-December 11
Garrison Elementary School-December 12-January 8

 

The  Hampstead Stage Company

Join us on Tuesday, December 2 @ 6:30p.m. for an interactive version of "A Christmas Carol" presented by The Hampstead Stage Company.   The production will be performed by two professional actors, each playing multiple roles, and using children and adults from the audience.  The play is an original adaptation based directly on the literary classic. The performance lasts one hour with a question and answer session following. All are welcome to attend!
