Latino Economic Development Center

Special Message from LEDC

MOVING FORWARD TOGETHER.

Dear friends,

I would like to take a moment to update our network of support and allies about our newest endeavor. We find ourselves in a period of transition and growth, a natural evolution for any organization, neighborhood or city. After calling Adams Morgan home for more than two decades, the Latino Economic Development Center (LEDC) will relocate its DC office to the WeWork Wonder Bread Factory in the Shaw neighborhood at 641 S Street, NW.

As we challenge our clients to take informed leaps of faith, we find ourselves modeling this behavior. Since our organization's very beginnings, we have taken bold steps to move our clients and ourselves forward. This forward thinking has enabled us to be innovative and creative to best serve the needs of our changing city.

Our move to WeWork is the next in a series of positive changes we are implementing. The WeWork new office space, offers our clients quality service in a functional and attractive environment. We are an entrepreneurial organization and joining other entrepreneurs in the dynamic WeWork space is a logical next step. Our success is not tied to a location but to the spirit, passion and commitment we bring to our work. We take these characteristics wherever we go.

Our mission remains unchanged: Equipping Latinos and other DC-area residents with the skills and financial tools to create a better future for their families and communities.

Before ending this message, I would like to take this opportunity to thank our network of support, clients, friends, family and staff. We look forward to welcoming you to this new chapter in LEDC's history and to our new space at WeWork!

Sincerely,

Marla Bilonick
Interim Executive Director
Please note we will be closed from Wednesday, July 30th through August 1st. We will reopen for business on Monday, August 4th at our new location.
Un Mensaje Especial de LEDC

AVANZANDO JUNTOS.

Queridos amigos,

Atentamente,

Marla Bilonick

Directora Ejecutiva Provisional

About LEDC

Working families deserve to live in affordable homes and own successful small businesses, but too many are unable to turn those dreams into a reality. The Latino Economic Development Center (LEDC) equips Latinos and other DC-area residents with the skills and financial tools to create a better future for their families and communities. Participants in our programs learn how to buy and stay in their homes, take control of the decisions affecting their apartment buildings, and start or expand small businesses.
