Last fall, the Ontario government invited Ontarians to help shape Ontario's first Culture Strategy. On December 3, 2015, the Orillia Cultural Roundtable hosted a forum on the topic with the primary purpose of developing a community response to the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and Sport's call for input. Over twenty five groups were involved in drafting eleven recommendations made to the Ministry.
Today, the province is inviting the community to participate in the next stage of consultation. This is your chance to comment on the draft Culture Strategy before it is released in June 2016. The deadline for comments is Friday, May 13, 2016. Visit ontario.ca/culturetalks  to find out more.
