Annual Chapter Meeting
Inspire  Educate  Empower  Advocate
These 4 words symbolize the mission of the Massachusetts Chapter of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA).  The staff of Compassion Massage are members of this remarkable organization that helps to provide education and advancement for the massage therapy career field.

The entire staff of Compassion Massage attended the AMTA-MA Annual Chapter meeting and experienced an informative day of the latest news, ethics education and fellowship among our peer massage therapists.

We attended a course on Professional Ethics presented by Nancy Porambo, former past president of the AMTA National Board.  We thank her for the 16 years of service she provided that helped pave the way for many critical advancements for massage therapy.  Next, Nancy will attend a conference at the American Academy of Pain Management to present massage therapy as integrative care for pain management. This is extremely exciting as awareness is growing to show the efficacy of massage to help reduce pain while reducing the need for pain medication.

Boston Marathon Was a Success!!!
Compassion Massage celebrated Patriot's Day 2016 by volunteering at the 120th Boston Marathon.  It was a day filled with fun and excitement as we helped provide over 670+ post-event sports massages to the runners who visited us after the race!  We felt fortunate to be there when runners truly needed us most and had the opportunity to learn where each runner had traveled from and the efforts they put forth to train for such a phenomenal event.

See you next year, Boston!!!
