Know Chester County--Then Talk Chester County
I recently discovered a wonderful Chamber of Commerce publication circa 1925 that contained a letter from then Chamber President Robert Frazer.  He encouraged his Chamber members to "Know Chester--Then Talk Chester."  Sounds like a modern day hashtag!  How right Mr. Frazer was to encourage others to promote our county businesses and all the many things that make Chester County such a special place to live, work and play.  The County has changed a lot since the 1920's but is poised to once again have a "ROARING" decade as we approach the 2020's!  Join with the Chamber to #TalkChesterCounty  --Brooke Wilson Clinton, President
Chamber of Commerce April/May Happenings:

Recently-retired Chamber President Jim Fuller (center back row) enjoys his much-deserved retirement party with his family and many friends.  The Business-After-Hours special event, sponsored by Gaston, Marion and Stubbs, First Citizens Bank, Founders Federal Credit Union, and the Chester Healthcare Foundation, honored the hard work and years of service Mr. Fuller gave to Chester County and its Chamber.  Mr. Fuller is greatly appreciated and will be missed!

Teacher Appreciation

Teachers from the Chester County School District were honored May 3rd during a special event held in Richburg. Teachers were treated to a meal from The Summit, received gift baskets and ten lucky winners left $100 richer--all compliments of Chester County Chamber of Commerce Members!  Nequi Dunlap was named District Teacher of the Year.
Administrative
Professionals Day

Sheri Lynch of the "Bob & Sheri Show" used humor to remind administrative professionals how the "world would fall apart without them!"  Indeed!  Guests of honor received a meal catered by Anna's Arbor and left with a "thank you" tulip in a vase.
President of the Protocol School of Washington  Pamela Eyring  spoke during the annual Chamber of Commerce banquet and offered the audience advice on working with business leaders from other countries and cultures.  She reminded members that Chester County is competing globally for new businesses and with those opportunities come interesting challenges and the chance to build relationships with individuals from all over the world.  Members were also treated to a wonderful meal by J. Scott's Catering, and Duke Energy's Vice President Rick Jiran honored William H. "Bill"  Bundy, chair of the Chester Healthcare Foundation, with the Duke Energy  Citizenship & Service Award .  So well deserved!
