Directorio Launches New Format 

"Boletín Informativo del Directorio Democrático Cubano" is a brand new weekly initiative from Directorio which provides a news programming format filled with important information for Cubans on the island. 

To the right you can see residents of Santa Clara in central Cuba watching the inaugural newscast.

The Voice of the Cuban Resistance
 
Dr. Orlando Gutierrez-Boronat, Jorge Luis Garcia Perez "Antunez" and Julio Estorino speak with Serafin Moran who led the bicitaxis demonstration in Havana this past  Tuesday, May 10th. Radio Republica, the Voice of the Cuban Resistance, is produced by Directorio Democrático Cubano and transmits 7 days a week via shortwave radio throughout Cuba. 

While tourists soak up the Caribbean sun, sip tangy mojitos and savor fine Cuban cigars, they  are financially supporting the ruthless Castro Regime, 
which profits start to finish from every trip.

"The Government of Cuba does not recognize the U.S. nationality of U.S. citizens who are Cuban-born or are the children of Cuban parents.  
These individuals will be treated solely as Cuban citizens and may be subject to a range of restrictions and obligations, including military service.  There have been cases of Cuban-American dual nationals being forced by the Cuban government to surrender their U.S. passports" - Source: U.S. Embassy in Havana

Liberty is the Right of Humanity

On Tuesday, May 10th, members of   Movimiento Opositores Por Una Nueva República, deposited flowers at the bust of Jose Martí in Santiago de las Vegas, Municipio Boyeros, La Habana. A ribbon on the flowers read " Liberty is a right of humanity."

Mother's Day in Cuba
Over 100 Cubans Arrested

Repressive forces from the State Security (DSE) launched a massive arrest campaign throughout Cuba this Mother's Day in an attempt to block the weekly "TodosMarchamos" march in solidarity with the Ladies n White.  
Over 100 Ladies in White members and human rights activists were arrested. All this taking place amidst tourists and celebrities that all seem oblivious to the human rights abuses happening around them.

Rosa Escalona and Family Beaten with Metal Pipes

Days after the Chanel fashion show in Havana,  Rosa Escalona, member of "The Ladies in White", a human rights group in Cuba, along with her husband and three sons were subjected to a savage beating by Castro thugs.

Arrested for U.S. Flag
Daniel Llorente arrested as Adonia docked in Cuba

With the approaching cruise ship as a backdrop, State Security arrived on the scene and wrestled Llorente into a patrol car along with his flag.

"No La Toquen"
Neighbors Stop Arrest of Lucinda Gonzalez

On May 1, 2016 neighbors came to the defense of "Lady in White" member, Lucinda Gonzalez. With shouts of "Do Not Touch Her", Lucinda is protected by them and eventually led away from State Security (DSE)  that were attempting to arrest her.

Protesta Pacifica en Galeano
Foro por los Derechos y Libertades
 
On April 26, 2016, members of Foro por los Derechos y Libertades as part of #TodosMarchamos, carried out a peaceful protest along Galeano. The brave participants were arrested by force by State Security and held for daring to ask for the release of all political prisoners and liberty for Cuba.  
 
UNPACU (Unión Patriótica de Cuba) presents song/video "Hay Un Pueblo" with powerful lyrics and images capturing Cuba's deep yearning for liberty.
