The Evergreen Neighborhood Resource Center


Come and get acquainted with the resources provided to you by the City of Wichita. On site personnel includes a Community Service Representative, Administrative Aide and Neighborhood Inspector.  Also, an Affordable Health Project Navigator is located in our facility. Community Police are accessible whenever needed. A computer lab is available to the public free of charge along with other resources. The Evergreen Neighborhood Resource Center is "serving you, in many ways, every day. "

Bring Mom to Botanica for Mother's Day!
There are several ways for you to celebrate mom at Botanica. In addition to the gardens, moms can participate in any of our special treats: Create your own garden art, or get your mom a mimosa to enjoy while you stroll the gardens, eat lunch at Mother's Day Cafe provided by Friends of Botanica. Gallery XII artists will be displaying and selling art in the garden and there will be live music as well.

These free classes are designed to help those who are new  and more advanced English speakers.

The first Saturday in May is Free Comic Book Day, and you can celebrate it at the Library! Come to the Central Library for some fun events. Bring the whole family at 10:30am for a showing of Saturday Morning Cartoons. Then at 3:30, enjoy a Comic Book Reader's Theater on the Marvel Comics series "Civil War."  Free comic books will be given away at the Central Library for those who attend (while supplies last).

Summer of Discovery is a 10 week summer recreation program offered by Wichita Park & Recreation. This program is filled with exciting, fun and educational activities that will keep participants busy all summer. Designed to accommodate the working parent, fun is provided Monday-Friday from 7am to 6pm. Camp begins Tuesday, May 31 and ends Friday, August 5.  Register NOW to reserve your spot!
