2015 Community Engagement Report
Last month the DIA issued the 2015 Community Engagement Report, which includes highlights of the museum's enhanced community outreach programs from last year for Wayne, Oakland and Macomb county residents, a result of the tri-county millage. The report also includes a cumulative summary of benefits since the millage passed in August 2012. Thanks to your generous support, the DIA offers free general admission, free school field trips, including bus transportation, and free tours for senior groups, including transportation. Also among the benefits are community partnerships with local organizations and expansion of the popular Inside|Out program. The report can be found online at bit.ly/2015DIACommunityEngagement.

Since August 2012, the DIA has provided free museum admission for more than one million tri-county residents, welcomed nearly 200,000 tri-county students on free field trips, hosted more than 600 visits by tri-county senior citizen groups with complimentary door-to-door bus transportation, logged more than 6,300 miles throughout the tri-county region with its mobile classroom DIA Away and installed Inside|Out in more than 65 different communities.

For Macomb County, highlights from last year include free admission for nearly 50,000 residents, free field trips and transportation for nearly 12,000 students and free group visits for more than 1,000 seniors.
