 It's always fun to welcome customer favorites back into the store. This wine from Elicio was one of our best-selling ros�s last year, and now that summer is in full swing we're happy to see it back with the new vintage. If you missed it last year, definitely make sure to pick up a bottle this time around.
Elicio Ros� is made from Grenache and Cinsault, two of the classic grapes of the Southern Rhone. It is actually made in Ventoux, an appellation known for quality but inexpensive wines. Ros�s like this are perfect summer table wines, easy to drink and share with friends. It has a fresh, zesty nose, with lots of raspberry and strawberry notes. More red fruits follow on the palate, with a nice creamy mouthfeel. Very refreshing and dangerously easy to drink! Try serving this moderately chilled, with a plate of charcuterie, cheeses, and olives alongside. Or, try it with fish chowder, grilled vegetable skewers, or grilled chicken.

 Cheesemonger Laura recommends pairing this wine with La Casera Camembert di Bufala. This buffalo milk camembert is made from raw buffalo milk and hails from the Piemonte region of Italy. It's produced on a small organic farm. It will make a perfect pair for the Elicio rose because of its semi-sweet taste with slightly acidic finish. Each new sip of the Elicio will only get better after bites of this very special camembert.
