Sat., May 7:  Community Meeting - East Venice ICO

The Department of City Planning is kicking off a series of community meetings for the Interim Control Ordinances (ICO) areas across the City to address the issues confronting single-family neighborhoods. 

This draft ordinance will be the follow-up to the March 25, 2015 Interim Control Ordinance to establish new regulations for neighborhood conservation.

The Administrative Committee sets the agendas for Board and Town Hall meetings. It consists of eight (8) Officers, including the President (chair), Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, and four (4) Community Officers. It meets the 2nd Monday each month at the Canal Club.

This will be a great opportunity for Stakeholders to talk one-on-one with many of the Candidates running for the VNC Board. They will be able to discuss with each other the issues within the VNC boundaries that matter to them, in an informal setting.

Fri., May 20:  Fuel for Fun!

Nasa's last remaining space shuttle fuel tank, ET-94 will be displayed in water at Burton Chase Park, 13650 Mindanao Way, Marina del Rey, 18 to 20 May before joining Endeavor at the California Science Center.
   
Friday, May 20, 5 to 9 pm Department of Beaches and Harbors, will have a space oriented party in the Burton Chase Park, 13650 Mindanao Way, MDR 90292 to welcome ET-94. There will be DJ and live music, food trucks, space-themed carnival games, space-themed activities, and science exhibits.
Sat., May 21:  Home-Sharing Ordinance:  Public Hearing

A public hearing is scheduled for a proposed zoning code amendment initiated by the Department of City Planning.  All interested persons are invited to attend the public hearing at City Planning Commission at which you may listen, speak, or submit written information relating to the proposed project.
