Here are a few highlights from the ongoing work at the Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB).
New General Manager Named for CVB 

Santa Clara Convention Center general manager Lisa Moreno has been appointed to oversee the city's Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB). Lisa has over 25 year's experience with the Chamber of Commerce and Convention-Visitors Bureau and currently manages the award-winning Convention Center.
           
"We are looking forward to exceeding the expectations of our clients, stakeholders, and visitors to Santa Clara," said Moreno. Her new position became effective on April 26, 2016.

 
Top 10 Must See Santa Clara Visitor Attractions List Receives 100k + Views! 

The Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) has put together a new list highlighting Santa Clara's "Top 10 Must See Visitor Attractions. In just the last two weeks of April, 2016, over 107,000 Facebook users viewed the list, engaging with over 1,000 Likes, 30 Comments, and 230 Shares.
 
One user recently commented about the list " Numbers 9 and 10 are the two that I have not been. I did not know about them."  Must-see visitor spots include California's Great America theme park, Levi's Stadium tours, the Intel Museum, Mission Santa Clara de Asis, and others.

171,000 Bay Area Residents Went to a Super Bowl 50 Related Event in Santa Clara

An independent Super Bowl 50 impact report conducted by Repucom has found that 171,000 Bay Area adults attended at least one Super Bowl 50 related event in the city of Santa Clara. The same study found that the highest-attended event was Super Bowl City (1.1 million), the free fan village hosted by the Super Bowl 50 Host Committee. 

Repucom, a global leader in sports and entertainment intelligence, also found that 64% of adults said it's important to host major sporting events in the Bay Area, citing importance of job creation, economic benefits, legacy impacts, community spirit and pride, and the promotion of the area as a tourist destination.
