Welcome to Global Grandmothers Walk the Walks program. We walk and donate to children in need.

We are excited to announce our third Global Grandmothers Walk the Walk.  We will be supporting the Nepal Youth Foundation's work as we walk through Marin's lovely Tennessee Valley, lush from recent rains, to the Pacific Ocean beach and back.  This is part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. Olga Murray, NYF's 90-year old founder and Sausalito resident, will be at the trailhead to see us off!

The walk is 3.4 miles round trip, on a largely-level, partly-paved trail, suitable for all ages and abilities.  Sorry no dogs are allowed, but scooters and bikes are fine. There is ample parking, especially at 9:30 am.  The later in the day, the more crowded.

We are walking in support of Nepal Youth Foundation (NYF), especially in its efforts to rebuild Nepal after the earthquake one year ago.  NYF is working to build 250 seismically-safe classrooms, 70 of which are complete  It also hopes to fund kinship care for 1000 children, allowing children displaced by the earthquake to stay with impoverished family members by providing for each child's food, education, medical care, and counseling, at a cost of $350 per year.

Please join us in exercise, conversation and support of this worthy cause.
