Spinal Cord Regeneration Initiative Project
The Spinal Cord Regeneration Initiative Project is looking people to sign their petition in support of their project. Restoration of the damaged spinal cord will improve the lives of more than 5.5 million people in the USA living with Spinal Cord Injuries, MS, ALS, and other suffering from neurological problems. This is a humanitarian cause, could reduce federal healthcare costs over $10 billion/ year, and increase the work force. We ask the President and Congress to: - Increase federal funding for restorative medical research on the chronically damaged spinal cord, proportional to achieving a goal to provide substantial functional treatments and recovery available within the next 2-10 years. -Expand physical therapy and fitness access to those living with a Spinal Cord Disease to improve and maintain health -Create a commission of representatives from this community to advise and enact this action. To sign their petition click on the link below. https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/support-spinal-cord-regeneration-initiative-project/RH7HkzY1?utm_content=buffer79c42&utm_medium=social&utm_source=linkedin.com&utm_campaign=buffer

South Carolina's Stonemark Station
Stonemark Station is the association's program to promote business enterprises of individuals with spinal cord injuries. The goal of the program is to provide financial opportunities for self-employed individuals by offering free-of-charge promotion of their products and/or services through the association's website and Facebook page.
Do you know individuals with a spinal cord injury who own businesses, are self-employed, sell products through home demonstration parties, or provide a service on a freelance basis? If so, they can advertise on the South Carolina Spinal Cord Injury Association's Stonemark Station web page.
The person providing the product or service or owning the business must be the individual with a spinal cord injury.

New Mobility: Call For Stories
New Mobility is looking for story ideas about life on wheels and its challenges. In the past stories have been about aging, escaping from nursing homes, landmark ADA settlements, coping with long term confinement, non-macho recreation options, finding and maintaining home healthcare in rural settings, maximizing access to available benefits, family dynamics after SCI, new uses for FES, dealing with depression and managing pain. Feel free to suggest what interests you, what you feel would be of interest to others, or what might make life with a disability easier, more enjoyable and rewarding. Suggestions may also include ideas about products you use, places you have been, people you would like to see profiled, ways you and others adapt to change, wrongs you want to right, and unique or unusual stories about you or someone you know. New and unique ideas are always welcome. Please contact Richard Holicky 303-696-2075 [email protected]
