Why did the MOL change the JHSC training standard in 2016?
Longer courses to make your workplace safer

The training process of your Joint Health and Safety Committee is increasingly important for the success of your workplace's health and safety program. Having an effective and proactive JHSC is key to having a safe and productive workplace.

The Ministry of Labour has raised the bar for the JHSC training standard to meet the growing needs for occupational health and safety programs. Learn more about the changes made to the program here.

We are now offering the new Part One JHSC Certification Training Course to our clients.

Results from the 2015 New and Young Worker Inspection Blitz
How your workplace can learn from the results

What happened?
  • 11,470 orders were made under the OH&S Act and its regulations
  • The results show that new and young workers continue to be exposed to many of the same hazards in workplaces across all sectors
  • Restaurant, retail and wood and metal fabrication workplaces had the most orders
The most common orders were employers failure to:
  • Post an OH&S Act copy in the workplace
  • Maintain equipment in good condition
  • Take reasonable precautions to protect workers health and safety

Protect your new and young workers by creating a safe on-boarding program and overall workplace for them to thrive in.

International Women's Day- March 8, 2016
International women's day is a global celebration of the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.

It is also a call to action for accelerating gender equality; particularly when it comes to job parity.

Any healthy and safe work environment needs to embrace gender equality.

"Whether it's to help women and girls achieve their ambitions, call for gender-balanced leadership, respect and value difference, develop more inclusive and flexible cultures or root out workplace bias."
