FALL CAMPING OPTIONS
26 Kansas State Parks

Girl Scouts have free access to basic camping sites at all 26 Kansas State Parks, thanks to a partnership between the Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland and the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism!

To take advantage of these wonderful camping opportunities paid for by the Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland Council, members MUST complete a reservation application.

The council is paying for its members' access to basic/primitive campsites at Kansas State Parks - a great option for camp-outs or other activities packed with fun enjoying the outdoors!

Click here for complete details, including an online reservation application.
PLANNING A TROOP TRIP?
Updated travel forms are available

Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland has a set of tools to help troops plan trips from start to finish. All Troop Travel forms were updated in August 2014 to allow for streamlined planning for volunteers, while maintaining appropriate health and safety measures for participants.

Click here to view all resources and forms for troop trips, including:

Travel Appendix - starting point for trip planning

Travel Checklist - simple overview of the steps for planning different trips

Trip Application - one application for any trip, from an overnight to an international adventure. Note that the application is due six weeks before any one- or two-night trip; 12 weeks before any three or more night trip; and six months before any planned international travel (which must be planned through a Girl Scout affiliated tour company).
