We've been talking about making mistakes lately. Sometimes it seems like we mess up! We say the wrong thing and someone gets hurt. We do the wrong thing and we feel like a failure.

 

But actually, mistakes are a stepping stone. They can help us come into our heart and to what matters most, if we enter into a self-reflective and honest mode with ourselves. That is their spiritual place.

 

 

We've seen examples of babies making messes, kids losing jackets, dogs gleefully chomping on a cake we thought was out of reach. None of those are mistakes. 

 

Suggested exercise for the day: What's one 'mistake' you made that actually turned out to be perfection in the big picture? Take a deep breath and see that big picture now.
