It's Family Day at the DCCA. Laughter fills the air. Smiles abound. Kids bounce from art project to art project with parents/care givers in tow. The DCCA serves as a safe and nurturing environment where children and their families from all walks of life work side-by-side to create collaborative visual arts projects. New friendships are forged and more people are exposed to the power of the arts. The arts provide a universal "language" that everyone understands, which cuts across racial, cultural, social, educational, and economic barriers.
