Flag Day Revolutionary Spirit Night to Feature Colonial-Era Reenactors, Games and More
BRIDGEWATER, NJ - Baseball fans will be transported to Colonial-era New Jersey on Tuesday June 14 as the Somerset Patriots celebrate Revolutionary Spirit night against the York Revolution at TD Bank Park in Bridgewater.

Attendees at the 7:05 p.m. game will be welcomed to step into the past with hands-on demonstrations and conversations with costumed reenactors representing New Jersey historic sites and interpreter groups in Morris, Somerset, Union and Camden Counties. The night is co-sponsored by the Somerset Patriots and Crossroads of the American Revolution National Heritage Area.

"New Jersey's Revolutionary heritage is all around us, and what better way to share it than to bring it to America's favorite pastime on Flag Day?" said Noreen Bodman, Crossroads' executive director. "The Somerset Patriots have embraced the spirit and we're thrilled to partner with them to make this a truly historic night, in more ways than one."

Attendees will be greeted by a Revolutionary troop encampment and cannon demonstration as they arrive at the ball park. The first 500 fans through the turnstiles will receive a Crossroads of the American Revolution flag. Throughout the game, Molly Pitcher and other costumed personalities from the Revolutionary War will meet and greet fans on the ball park's concourse.
