turn to the Boston Marathon. During this time of remembrance, reflection and strength, our thoughts are with the families whose lives have been forever changed. We send a collective high five and fist bump to our co-workers who are paticipating in this year's marathon and a special nod to former NH Child Rep AJ Martin who will partipate in the wheelchair division--a lifelong dream fulfilled! We also wanted to share this special story of strength with you about our co-worker Denise Spenard. |

Friendly's Serves Up Deliciousness & Donations--Beginning April 4th, Friendly's Restaurants, will support Easter Seals Camp Friendly's through its annual Cones for Kids Campaign! From April 4 - April 27, 2014, Friendly's Restaurants will offer guests two ways to support Easter Seals. For a $1 donation, guests will receive a 10% discount card, valid through May 18. Or, a Kids Meal can be served on a Fun Friendly's Frisbee for a $2 donation. Friendly's Restaurants, has supported Easter Seals since 1981 with more than $28 million through Cones for Kids. Scramble scavenger hunt event at Tanger outlet Center in Tilton on April 27th. Register now! First 25 teams to sign up will be entered into a $100 Tanger gift card drawing! Race against time as you solve clues and amusing challenges at random stores, and stock up the amusing memories along the way! Trophies for the five fastest teams and a trophy for the best costume! Special note: The Scramble is a walk fundraiser being ran by Community Based Services.
Pack & Boots 5K Road Race--Join us for the 2nd Annual Pack & Boots 5K Road Race. For 2014 we have a new flat and fast USATF certified course that is now part of the Run Portsmouth Road Race series and we now encourage walkers to register for our 5K. We are also proud to once again offer a separate 1 mile Survival Run which requires participants to wear boots and carry a pack containing 10% of their body weight (participants provide their own boots and pack). Both races honor our current and former service members and all the proceeds are donated to Veterans Count. To register click here!
Texas Roadhouse in Manchester is hosting a fundraiser night for VIP on Tuesday, April 22, from 4-10pm. Texas Roadhouse will donate 10% of your food bill to Easter Seals NH when this invitation is presented to the server.

The evening's program will include an awards presentation that will allow Easter Seals New York to honor some of New York's most dedicated philanthropists. We hope you will join us in celebrating the evening with us and highlight all of the wonderful contributions made by leaders of our community. Entertainment by famed vocalist Colin Hay. Join us in honoring the winners of the Lilli and Allan Shedlin Award, Heffernan Insurance Brokers. We are also awarding the Outstanding Citizenship Award to Hightower and presenting posthumously the Edgar F. Allen Political Service Leadership Award to the family of Governor Hugh L. Carey. And They're Off -- On Saturday, May 3 from 4-8 pm at The Haversham, we will be cheering for our favorite horses at the 3rd Annual Kentucky Derby Party! Guests will enjoy all the luxuries of the Kentucky Derby including red carpet photos, a hat contest, southern style buffet, whiskey tasting and silent auction!

Many Thanks! Many local supporters recently hosted fundraisers benefitting Walk With Me Rhode Island! April Showers Children's Consignment Boutique raised over $723 at their annual Easter Extravaganza event on April 5! Clam Cakes and Chowder and Music Fest were also huge success raising $3,579 and $3,168 respectively! Special thanks to everyone who hosted and attended these great events. On April 12, 2014 the band "Bitter Greens" played at the Cross Road Bar and Grill in South Royalton. The band played really fun music and people danced and enjoyed the evening. Easter Seals held a 50/50 Raffle and the total money raised that night was $670! Easter Seals was truly supported by our community; a local business owner, a local band and the local people who enjoyed a fun night! |
