THE BUILDING ENVELOPE
April 2016 Dinner & Presentation
Please join us at our April 21st. meeting for fellowship, dinner, and a presentation featuring Kurt Moehlmann, independent manufacturer's representative.
On the Agenda:
- How to think outside the box, how to make the box better and how to make the box’s insides better.
- A review of the building envelope and code compliances will lead to a discussion of the wall components. Generic wall systems will be presented along with their costs, durabilities, warranties, transition details and overall design strengths.
- The discussion will focus on what happens in the gaps of the walls. How they are filled, made compatible with adjoining materials, achieve code compliance and other attending issues.
- The presentation concludes with general recommendations for generic wall types and limitations of various “gap” systems.
