Former SVHS Drama teacher, Deborah Eubanks,  is in her tenth year teaching at Berkeley Repertory School of Theatre, and currently serves faculty at San Francisco Academy of Art University while managing a partnership in the  Strictly Speaking Group with USF provost Peter Novak.
Deborah Eubanks completed her training at Harold Pinter Studios in the U.K. She has served faculty at U.S.F. and is on the panel of judges for The English Speaking Union. Deborah was previously Director in Residence at Sonoma State University.
She has created her own exercises which are used in Cal State University Jump Start to Success programs. She has also presented her methods at San Francisco  EXPO and created two MFA classes in dialect reduction and audition.
St. Vincent de Paul High School is thrilled to have her return to teach two very special workshops this summer:


Forward Speaking for Class of 2016 Seniors  
2 Day Workshop 
June 16 & 17, 10:00 to 4:00 pm
Cost $350
This two day workshop is designed to inspire continuing confidence in students facing the transition of graduation.  Supported and sustained, highly focused and passionate communication skills will be taught.  This workshop will greatly benefit all High School Seniors no matter what avenues they are pursuing. It embraces methods to cope with the unique changes and challenges faced by any and all students who are venturing out into the world at large.

Throughout the two days, students will work together on a variety of fun filled and challenging exercises. By the end of the session students will be able identify and control factors that create stress and cause them to lose momentum and confidence in unfamiliar situations. They will learn lifelong simple techniques which will liberate them from internalizing and reacting to their unique fears.  .

Deborah's techniques are influenced by Kristen Linklater and The Tao of Voice. By following her guidelines, students their will find natural charismatic energy thereby enhancing any performance, presentation, interview or speech

You will be able to address any and all audiences. with a sense of truth and humanity which we are rapidly losing in this digital age. 

Whatever your arena, be it a speech in your   corporate work place, or a wedding, funeral, or graduation, or simply attempting to reach out to your teens...this is a workshop for you! It will be a day of challenging and fun filled activities and exercises based upon the works and theories of Kristen Linklater and the Tao of Voice, Deborah will move you away from deadly safe speech energy and into your unique vocal life! You will speak with charisma, passion and persuasion.

Each client will take away a booklet with the tools they need to continue.
