Buffalo Public Schools

The Buffalo Public Schools reconstruction and renovation program was intended to provide state of the art learning environments, upgrade the school infrastructure and strengthen surrounding neighborhoods. As the acting program manager, LPCiminelli coordinated a total of five phases to commence in 2004 and span 10 years. On average, the district schools are 70 years of age and most were in need of significant modernization. In total, 48 of the district's 70 school buildings were slated to receive improvements. In addition to both interior and exterior renovations, LPCiminelli also completed district wide technology and energy upgrades. When it came to furniture, our successful completion of Phase III was effective in solidifying the strong partnership that ensured success in the final completions of Phase IV in 2012 and Phase V in 2014. These extensive upgrades bring the Buffalo Public Schools into the 21st century and will provide the students with learning centers of excellence for years to come.

Professional Experience:

Jerry comes to us with over 25 years experience in the contract interiors industry. He served as the territory manager for Wunda Weve Carpet Mills, so he's familiar with carpeting on a contract level. In addition, Jerry is the former owner of a contemporary art and American craft gallery, where he did interior design, custom picture framing, and represented over one hundred of the country's finest artists and craftspeople both on a retail level and to the A&D community.

About Jerry:

Recently, Jerry, a talented artist, facilitated a 1-person show, "Putting It Together", a series of contemporary assemblages, hung at the Artsphere Gallery in Buffalo. The show ran from October through November of 2013, and plans are now underway to feature his work in a gallery in Brooklyn, NY in 2014!

Married for almost 49 years, Jerry is a proud father of 2 and grand-father of 3 grand-children.

I would be proud to label myself a Buffalo native, but I have only called "The Queen City" my home for the last 9 years. When I decided to move from the Binghamton area to Buffalo after college, a lot of people questioned why of all places I would want to move here. This inquiry mostly came from those who had spent their whole lives here and had sights set on someplace bigger or warmer or just different (my husband included).
