Employers can play a significant role in the fight against cancer by creating a workplace environment and offering programs conducive to lowering health risks. Today, cancer prevention strategies have expanded to include interventions with proven benefits. Much of the suffering and death from cancer could be prevented by more systematic efforts to reduce tobacco use, improve lifestyle factors including diet and physical activity, and expand the use of established screening tests and even vaccinations. |
