From Pastor Linda

Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God, serve
one another with whatever gift each of you has received.

Dear Friends~
Churches are experiencing a power shortage- not because of the absence of God but because God's people are not being equipped and empowered to be the best they can be in all of LIFE.  Did you know that, according to Gallup, more than half of churchgoers report that they do not get to do what they do best in their congregations-and this is driving people away!  But it doesn't have to be this way.

StrengthsFinder is all about maximizing our strengths to be good stewards of the talents that God has given us-and to use these talents as the Body of Christ to make a difference in the world that God loves so much.  Are you ready to be transformed?  Are you ready to be awakened (or re-awakened!) to the power that has been planted within you?

I will be leading a three week Summer StrengthsFinder Class on June 1, 8, 15  at 7pm.  This will be a time for you to discover your talents, to learn more about them, and then to put them into action in all parts of your life to include work and home, relationships and more!  The Clifton StrengthsFinder measures the presence of 34 talent themes.  Talents are people's naturally recurring patterns of thought, feeling, or behavior that can be productively applied.

This would be a great time for you to invite a friend to join you in this time of discovery!!  For more information and to register for the class- CLICK HERE - or call the church office.  If you have questions- contact me!  I LOVE to talk STRENGTHS and STEWARDSHIP of LIFE! (If you have already taken this class- come for a re-fresher!)

Let's do this!!

Hosanna Softball
Hosanna is again sponsoring an adult softball team in the FLAAA Sunday night Church League. Jeff Taylor passed off the team coach baton to Nick Kelley this year. Thanks, Jeff, for your years of coordinating a fun team.

Nick reports: The first game of this season was rained out, but this past Sunday, May 1, the team WON BOTH GAMES, including scoring 8 runs in the final inning to win in walk-off fashion in the last game. Joe DeVore, Nick Kelley, and Dave Taylor hit home runs.

All games (double-headers) are played on Sundays starting
