TSPN's Northeast Region cordially invites you to "Saving Lives in Northeast Tennessee", scheduled for 9:30 AM-3:00 PM on Friday, September 26, at Wesley United Methodist Church, located at 225 Princeton Road in Johnson City.

The conference will feature a panel discussion of faith communities' response to suicide, including pastors from local houses of worship. Our keynote address will be provided by Reverend John A. Shuck of the First Presbyterian Church of Elizabethton, who lost his son Zachary to suicide in 2012.

The event will also include segments on regional suicide trends, the Zero Suicide Initiative, bullying, and suicide prevention among older adults. A training session in the "Question, Persuade, and Refer" suicide prevention curriculum will finish out the event, which will feature a luncheon and continental breakfast.

Five contact hours are available for participants. Registration is available via Eventbrite portal (slnet14.eventbrite.com) and the event brochure; both feature the complete agenda for that day's proceedings.

We're also seeking additional sponsors for this presentation; interested parties may fill out and submit the sponsorship form.

We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity for education, awareness, and enlightenment regarding suicide prevention in your community, and we look forward to seeing you at Wesley UMC in September.

In case you missed it!
