May 2014
 THANK YOU!

Two thumbs up to all parents who participated in the spring goodie box stuffing for your students!

Goodie box stuffing could not be done without our volunteers, so please know how much we appreciate you!

One of the benefits of your Parent Association membership is that your student gets to enjoy a complimentary box of goodies during finals week! Here is what you need to know for your student to get their box:

If your student lives on campus...

If your student lives off campus...
They should receive a note from the residence hall staff telling them their goodie box is waiting for them at the front desk of their residence hall. We have asked students to pick up their boxes by Friday, May 2, 2014. Boxes not collected by that date will be moved to the Office of Orientation and Transition Programs, which includes Parent Programs (STUB 155). If your student misses their box at the residence hall, they can collect one from our office.
Since Monday, April 28, students have been able to stop by our office in STUB 155 between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm (Monday-Friday) to pick up their goodie box. We only deliver to residence halls. All Greek housing, surrounding homes, and apartments are considered off campus. Please let your student to know to pick up their goodie box. You are our only way of passing this information along to off campus students.

Making plans for summer 2014?

Please invite your student to consider attending classes at UNT. Summer session offers many advantages over regular long semesters:
  • Staying on track for an early or on-time graduation
  • Catching up if a student dropped or did not pass a class during fall or spring semesters
  • Completing pre-requisites for fall classes
  • Attending smaller classes with more one-on-one interaction with professors
  • Taking unique classes that are only offered at this time of year
  • Avoiding tuition and fee increases in future semesters
  • Participating in study abroad, internships, and fun student activities

Students should consult with their advisor or follow the registrar's webpage for more information about summer course offerings and registration deadlines.
