Inge Glass 2016
Inge Glas 2016 continues to amaze us with another new and beautiful collection of finials and glass ornaments. Behind each ornament is the inspiration from Inges' skilled glassblowers and master painters, most of who have had their trade passed down to them for generations. Inge realizes their ornaments play a pivotal role in the joy and fond memories that their collectors value.
Christmas Guide
This year's 2016 dated ornament is called "Christmas Guide." This special piece features Santa Claus holding a tree and lantern. The year, 2016, has been inscribed on the back of the ornament.
Inge has also come out with a few limited edition pieces. These ornaments are all hand numbered with a distinctive gift tag and individually gift boxed. "Angel  of Light" and "Tiered Brilliance (a tree design)" are our personal favorites from the collection.
Angel of Light
This year's collection is filled with beautiful ornaments featuring traditional colors and the classic "life touch faces" that Inge has become known for in their work. In addition, Inge continues to add to their selection of birds, animals, food, Santas, snowmen, angels, and old fashion reflectors. With such a selection it is easy to find something to suit all of the people on your Christmas list. We are expecting most of the Inge 2016 Collection to come in by the end of the month. Please stop in and see all of the new exciting pieces. I am sure you will be impressed by the traditional designs of these German ornaments.
Oliver the Ornament
Last November, we told you about a brand new book for children " Oliver the Ornament."  We are excited to report that we sold out of our first order and we have received a new shipment of these delightful books.  In addition, we have the Oliver water globe to accompany this book.

Since the book was in the store for such a short time, we realize that we were not able to share Oliver the Ornament story with many of you.  Oliver the Ornament is a story about a family's collection of Christmas ornaments.  The story centers on Oliver who's been with the family since Mom and Dad's first date.  Years later, even though Oliver is injured, he still has the magic of Christmas in his heart.  It is this magic that allows him to overcome all odds and save the day.

We are excited that every year, the author is planning on expanding the collection (7 books in all) so it can become an annual keepsake for your family.  In 2017, a second book will be introduced at the Tannenbaum.  This second book will continue the theme that for all of us our Christmas ornaments all tell a story about our family.
We are planning on carrying other Oliver-themed products that will be introduced in June, including a family puzzle, a memory book to record your family memories, and a new ornament (each year there will be a new ornament in the series).  Oliver the Ornament is a series that we know you will fall in love with as much as we have.
Byers Choice
Music is in the air as Byers introduces the return of the Musical Waites.  This new collection includes 4 new styles.  First, there is the waite with the French Horn.  This waite is a chubby fellow wearing a red coat and brown top hat.  Second, is the waite with the violin.  This gentleman has grey hair wearing red plaid pants, tan jacket, and sweater.  Third, is the waite with the tuba.  This waite has brown hair and a moustache.  He is wearing a light grey top hat and green jacket.  Finally, we have the waite with the cymbals.  This young man is wearing a red jacket, plaid pants, and a grey knit hat.

Straight from the North Pole are the white polar bear cubs.  There are three styles including one sitting, one standing, and one walking.   New last year, the black bears are back!  We have the sitting bear wearing a red check hat and a standing bear wearing a red stocking cap.  Also introduced late last year is the large penguin with red cap and a new little penguin with green ear muffs riding a round sled.  Byer's Choice animals are always a fun addition to a winter scene.

Just arrived at Tannenbaum are the Spring Open House carolers.
This year there is a pretty pastel May Pole and four different May Day girls to coordinate. We have the May Day girl dressed in peach, in ivory, in green, and the May Day girl dressed all in pink. Each girl carries a basket of Spring flowers.  All of the May Day girls have been personally signed by Joyce Byers who is the woman who started the Byers Choice caroler business almost 40 years ago in the kitchen of her home in Chalfont,  Penn. Check out all these cute girls. They are all so cute it is hard to just buy one!

Byers Choice Carolers are all still made in the USA.
Log Cabin Creations
Some of our favorite Door County Exclusive ornaments have just arrived.  These ornaments are hand painted by a Wisconsin artist solely for the Tannenbaum Holiday Shop.  Our most popular designs are Wilson's Ice Cream Parlor, Al Johnson's restaurant, Cana Island lighthouse, and Eagle Tower.  Every year we add a few new styles.  This year we have added the Putt Putt Golf and a popular Peninsula Park camping scene.  To date, we have close to 30 different styles highlighting some of the amazing Door County attractions.  These ornaments make the perfect souvenir to remember your Door County vacation.
New Children's Books
For our customers with young children in their lives (e.g. parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, teachers, etc), check out our newest collection of children's book. These books come endorsed by our 2 year old granddaughter who has personally reviewed each one. Authors Sara Gillingham and Lorena Simenovich have written books with bright pictures, a sweet reassuring message, and an adorable finger puppet. We have five books "In My Barn," "In My Tree," "In My Forest," " In My Flower," and "My Little Stocking."
Fairy Garden
The weather is tempting us to get out and start working in the yard and garden. One fun activity for your family is building a "fairy garden" in your garden, flower pot, or in a tree. We have everything you need to build your fairy garden including a wide variety of fairies, gnomes, and other fun accessories. Let your imagination go wild!
Second Nature
Last year we introduced wooden signs made from recycled wood with "thought provoking sayings" stamped on them. These signs were well received and this year we have expanded our selection. Signs are available in a variety of sizes (e.g. 12x18, 12x8, 8x8, and 12x12). Some of our favorite new sayings are "Hope is the only thing stronger than fear," "I'd rather stay here and work instead of going to the beach said no one ever," and "To the moon and back."  We are expecting more signs later this summer.

Plus these clever sayings are available in 24 oz oversized mugs. These all-purpose mugs are microwave and dishwasher safe. And soon, these fun sayings will be available in handy dish towels!

North Pole Gazebo
Welcome to the special North Pole Anniversary Gazebo! All of the elves, reindeer, and many of Santa's helpers have been invited to the top of the world to gather around the gazebo for this special occasion.  Peek through the garland topped, candy cane stripped arches. Here, under the warm glow from the lights, Santa and Mrs. Clause offer a toast of cheer to all! The North Pole Gazebo is topped with a coppered roof with a brass colored "N" weathervane.

Santa has many special items in his home to accommodate his unique lifestyle. One item that often is overlooked is Santa's special chair. Like many hard working Americans, his work requires him to
Santa's Chair Works
spend a lot of time sitting. As a result, it is important that Santa have a special chair. It's a chair where he meets with children to hear their Christmas wish, it's where he reviews the naughty and nice list, and it is also the place where he can relax and take in the occasional Packer game on TV. Since Santa has work all over the world, he developed his own factory to make his own special chair.  Each year this factory builds many different chairs, all to suit the needs of Santa's many job responsibilities. This year the North Pole Village has added that important factory, Santa's Chair Works to its collection. This factory is known for its custom fittings and made to order sales model. It even comes equipped with its own "Buttometer" to ensure that Santa's chair is the perfect fit. This factory has a coordinating accessory of A Personal Touch, which shows one of the elves busy working on building a custom Santa chair.

Santa built a new restaurant at The North Pole and all of the elves are heading there for breakfast on Christmas morning to feast after a long season.
The Sizzlin' Griddle & Sizzlin' Samples
The Sizzlin' Griddle, shaped like a stack of pancakes topped with thick maple syrup and butter and a syrup botte chimney. The restaurant features a log cabin style dining room and has picture windows on 3 sides. The restaurant also has a checkerboard roof and a railing that looks like maple syrup bottles. This restaurant coordinates with the Sizzlin' Samples piece. This accessory shows an elf being served a sample of the amazing pancakes from the Griddle.

The history of pull toys dates back to 2000 B.C. in ancient Egypt
Pull Toy Factory
and Greece when toys made of clay animals were fitted with wheels. Pulled behind a child, they added a new dimension of play not found with other toys. Fisher-PriceTM classic toys are still popular today, ranging from the Chatter Telephone to the Bouncy-Bee. The Fisher PriceTM Pull Toy Factory highlights the production of the Snoopy Dog and Doodle Duck, showing where the installation of squeakers, wheels, top hats, and glasses are completed. The all-important string even feeds off a mounted spool on the side of the factory. This factory has two coordinating accessories, the Follow the Leader and Toot-Toot Tester pieces.  Follow the Leader includes an elf child playing with pull toy seal.  Toot-Toot Tester highlights Santa working on the latest train pull toy.

North Pole Weather Station
After a year's worth of children's dreams fulfilled by a year's worth of work by elves, it all comes down to one night and one flight.  Understanding the weather is crucial to getting the sleigh off the ground. The newest weather station, North Pole Weather Station, has been built and equipped with the top technology and instrumentation. Radar measuring every direction, a combination of the latest anemometers backed by reliable windsocks and several thermometers helps Santa's team stay on top of the weather and ready for takeoff! This factory pairs well with the Last Test Before Takeoff accessory. This piece shows two elves with a weather balloon checking the nightly weather.
Northern Lights Caboose

T he conclusion of the Northern Lights Express train is the perfectly designed caboose, Northern Lights Caboose. Trimmed in green and red, a bright glow from LED lights omits from the windows.  Like the other train cars in this series, the icon snowflake illuminate with a blue hue. And what is a better way to say farewell than with a wave from a jolly elf?
