A dozen TTN members danced to the fun and playful Nia choreography presented by Studio Nia Santa Fe's
Mark Frossard and
Barbara Miller. NIA is an expressive body-mind-spirit movement program that offers an artistic and innovative approach to fitness and healing. Mark and Barbara led us through four routines that gave us a taste of the 52 steps of Nia that blend aspects of martial arts, dance arts, and healing arts.
It was a new experience for most of the group and we left the meeting feeling excited and energized. Thank you to Social Committee Coordinator Linda McEnroe for organizing the evening.
Karen Lievense gave us details on the upcoming
Harwood Museum Tour that she is leading. Please see details in the May Calendar of Events section on the right.
Upcoming meetings:
May: Ten Tips for Dealing with Transitions
June: Downsizing Made Simple
July: Picnic
August: Mental Roadblocks to Wise Financial Decisions
IMPORTANT NOTE:
There is more than one way to RSVP to a TTN event - through Meetup, on the TTN website or by e-mailing the organizer. It doesn't matter which method you use but it is important that you RSVP to any event you plan to attend. It's a great help to event organizers. Thank you!

UNBIRTHDAY FESTIVITIES!
Members of the TTN Santa Fe Chapter had fun celebrating everyone's unbirthday at Carolyn Moore's house. Carolyn lives a little out of town and it was wonderful to see the beautiful New Mexican setting of her home. Carolyn's good friend and artist, Anahwake Nahtanaba, joined us to share her art and experiences as an artist with the group. She brought several of her Storytellers figures for us to examine and enjoy. After hearing from Anahwake the group swapped "unbirthday" presents. The gifts - which could not be purchased - turned out to be some real treasures found in each other's garages!

THE PLAY'S THE THING!
TTN members joined theater-goers to see Lillian Helman's provocative play The Children's Hour at the Santa Fe Playhouse on April 24th. A special post-performance treat for us was a private conversation with actress Sherry Engstrom, a cast member. We not only discussed the play but also the interactions between the characters of varying ages - and in particular the role of the older person that Sherry portrayed. We wish to thank Sherry for this most enjoyable opportunity!
