Greetings!
Problem:
Most American Jews attend Shul 3 days a year, and aren't prepared just yet to begin going each Shabbat. The jump from 3 to 55 times a year is quite the leap. So people figure they're just not "Shul-goers" leaving them and their families to become strangers to the Shul environment and all that comes with it. Until they re-visit their spiritual home for the following Rosh Hashanah. (I'm told some synagogues will announce the times for Rosh Hashanah services at the conclusion of Yom Kippur :).
Solution:
Suggest that people attend once each month. If you're not ready to jump from 3 to 55, how about from 3 to 15? You and your family will begin to feel right at home at Shul and stay connected with the Shul community, and the connection will only grow over time. (Beware: Shul attendance and other mitzvah observances might grow as well...)
Problem:
How do I decide which Shabbat to choose? It's too random to just pick one. So, while it's sounds like a nice idea, I never get around to it.
Solution:
SISTERHOOD SHABBAT - NOT FOR WOMEN ONLY!
Our dedicated Sisterhood is leading the way to bring our women and families back to Shul, by establishing a particular Shabbat each month as the day to be there! (Usually it'll take place in proximity to Rosh Chodesh - the new Jewish month - a day especially connected to women. Click here to learn more about that connection).
The man is the head of the household. The woman is the neck. She tells him which way to move and when. As goes the woman so goes the family... My hope is the Sisterhood Shabbat will lead many of "my people" back to Shul 15 times a year. The impact on the families Jewishness will be extraordinary, no question!
Special Features of Sisterhood Shabbat:
-Junior Congregation - organized and led by my daughter Mushka - will take place each of these Shabbats. So bring the kids.
-A member of Sisterhood will say a 'Dvar Torah' - words of Torah at the conclusion of the service (unless there's a Bar/Bat Mitzvah).
-A nice Kiddush will be sure to be arranged each time
-Services will be kept short in order to finish promptly by noon...
-Can't come 9:30? Come at 10:30. It's really ok.
Mark your calendar:
The dates for the SISTERHOOD SHABBATS for this year are: March 1 and April 26.
Make it a family affair, and something the family looks forward to (imagine that!), the once a month we go to Shul as a family to stay more in touch with our Judaism.

Sisterhood Shabbat | Saturday, March 1 - 9:30 AM
The Chabad Sisterhood has instituted a monthly "Sisterhood Shabbat", usually on or around Rosh Chodesh, in celebration of the Jewish Woman. On these monthly Shabbats, Sisterhood members will be encouraged to attend services, a special Junior Congregation service will be held for the children 10:30 AM - Noon, and aspects of the service will celebrate this theme. Sisterhood encourages all Jewish women (whether Sisterhood members of not) - and men - to join them.

Open Letter to John Kerry
Dear Secretary of State John Kerry:
Because of my respect for the United States, I will attempt to afford you the honor you think you so richly deserve. It's hard to speak to you with anything but anger, hard to feel the need, again, to start from the beginning because you clearly choose to ignore history in your quest for glory. It is a quest destined to fail but its outcome, even, or more accurately especially, in failure, will hurt Israel.
Greater men than you have tried to make, to force, peace on the Middle East. I promise you, you will fail too. You will fail because you are not addressing the root cause of the problem. You, like so many before you, take the easy way out. Blame Israel. It is so easy to do, and so stupid...

Parshat Pekudei
An accounting is made of the gold, silver and copper donated by the people for the making of the Mishkan. Betzalel, Aholiav and their assistants make the eight priestly garments-the apron, breastplate, cloak, crown, hat, tunic, sash and breeches-according to the specifications communicated to Moses in the Parshah of Tetzaveh.
The Mishkan is completed and all its components are brought to Moses, who erects it and anoints it with the holy anointing oil, and initiates Aaron and his four sons into the priesthood. A cloud appears over the Mishkan, signifying the Divine Presence that has come to dwell within it.
