I hope this newsletter finds all of you healthy, happy and enjoying your summer. As I write my part of the newsletter, I cannot believe we are less than two weeks from the SWC  School Supply Sale, and just a month away from school starting - my official end to summer! I have to brag a bit about the incoming board - I have met and talked with most of them over the summer and they ROCK!  

We have a lot of fun social events planned, and monthly programs are already being booked. The Community Outreach Team was busy and decorated an apartment for a deserving mother and family in July, and don't forget the School Supply Committee is ready for the sale on August 9th! While I still have so much on my summer to-do list, I am starting to miss seeing all of you and look forward to our first monthly meeting at Timarron on September 11th. Thanks for continuing to make Southlake Women's Club an amazing organization to be a part of, and I hope to see all of you soon!

The SWC Annual School Supply Sale is Saturday, August 9th at Carroll High School. Thanks to all who have already signed up to volunteer for this event ! Please visit the School Supply Sale information page on the SWC Website - it has links to the pricing for participating schools, as well as a downloadable flyer you can pass on to friends and neighbors.  Good news - we have all our shifts at the sale covered! Please note that if you or friends are out of town, the ONLINE Sale begins on August 10th - details for online ordering will be posted for orders as we get closer to August 10th. I just want to echo Jennifer's thanks to everyone who will work this year's sale - we are successful because of all of you working so hard on that day.  Please also join me in thanking Jennifer for all of her diligence and dedication leading up to (what I know will be) a fantastic sale this year!  It's hard to explain, but so much of the work goes on behind the scenes and she has done an amazing job this year!

We would like to thank Sarah and Mark Mason and their practice for their generosity in providing the delicious i Fratelli pizza for our volunteers during the sale. Because of their donation, more money can be given back to the schools. The Mason's do so much for our community, and we are very grateful to them!

Thanks also goes to i Fratelli for their kindness in giving a 20% discount.  

Time to renew your SWC membership for the upcoming year! The membership link is open on the SWC website. Also, please take the opportunity to update or fill out your online profile. This is a great way for other members to contact you, and for you to find other members. It's only as reliable as we make it - try adding a photo and personalizing it! If you need help logging in, there are tutorials and you can always email our membership chair Ann Swindell.   

The SWC Social Committee has been hard at work planning our upcoming social: Kick Summer to the Curb! This end of summer get together is scheduled for August 21st at Carmen Evans home, and will be a casual poolside get together for members. Look for an invite in your mailbox in the next few days!   

Couture in a Can will be there from 6:30 - 8:30 ready to dress you in fall fashion! Feel free to invite friends and neighbors that may be interested in joining SWC! A detailed invite will be coming out next week with more details.  

Also, mark your calendars, the Social Committee is bring back the Annual Shopping Trip to Canton on October 3rd! This event is limited & requires a monetary commitment, so please email Suzette if you are interested in going.

Community Outreach Team has once again come together furnish and decorate a 2 bedroom apartment for Open Arms. Thank you to all who donated items and to the members that came out to bring it all together for this deserving family! If you know of a charity needing assistance, there is a place on the SWC website where they can make a request for our Community Outreach Team!

This bedroom will be a quiet haven for a young mother of three!
