About Us

The Oklahoma Art Guild (OAG) is a non-profit organization founded in 1954, with the objective of creating, promoting and developing all forms of the visual arts.  The membership includes professionals, amateurs, art enthusiasts and patrons of the visual arts.

 
OAG May Demonstration 
Rita Busch's Home * 1220 Glade Ave, OKC

The May Oklahoma Art Guild Member Meeting will be held in the home of lifetime member, Rita Busch, at 7:00 on Monday, May 16. Rita is inviting members to come see her home studio and gallery, followed by a demonstration of her approach to watercolor media.

Rita has been a member of Oklahoma Art Guild since 1970. She came to Oklahoma in 1964, and is proud that she has not lost her Yankee accent. She is a native of Newport, Rhode Island and a resident of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma since 1969. She has been actively involved in the world of art since childhood. Rita is past-president of the Oklahoma Art Guild. She was State Fair coordinator for the Oklahoma Junior Art Exhibition for 16 years.  Rita draws, paints, and sculpts.

Rita's home is at 1220 Glade Avenue, Oklahoma City. Glade is located between Council and Rockwell.

PLEASE NOTE! This meeting is NOT at Oklahoma Contemporary. Parking is at a premium, so Rita is encouraging us to share a ride. Refreshments will be served.

Organization Change  
 
Our president, Galen Nichols, has resigned due to recent health issues. We appreciate his service to Oklahoma Art Guild and the remaining Board members will be meeting soon to discuss the future of the Guild.
