A few quick notes before auditions steal your attention away. :)
-Regarding awards from TOP!
We have discovered that we are short several medals from Talent on Parade! We are currently trying to solve the issue, but until we have a solution we will not be distributing any more of the awards. If you already picked yours up
please double check to make sure you didn't have too many or not enough medals. Keep in mind that medals are only awarded to each group that placed first through fifth in the top 10! If you do have an extra medal or are missing one, let me know ASAP and then bring the medal to the front desk the next time you are at the studio!
-There will be NO Sunday Rehearsals this week!
-
Nationals Reminder!

Please let me know ASAP if you would like to go to either the TOP Nationals or Cathy Roe Nationals as the competition may fill up before the payment due dates!
The Fees for both competitions are listed in the side column along with the due dates for payments!

In case you missed this in previous newsletters...
We love our dancers, we love having them perform and we know you love watching them!
In past years, we have held a free solo/duet/trio showcase the Saturday morning of recital weekend for families to have a final chance to see their dancers perform their competition solos.
However, with the number of company solos, duets and trios we have this year, our Saturday morning Solo Showcase would be over 3.5 HOURS LONG! That would mean most of your dancers would be performing Friday night, Saturday Morning, Saturday Matinee and Saturday Evening- with NO BREAK TIME on Saturday AND doing all of that after a week of rehearsals and late nights! Everyone, parents included, would be exhausted!
While we have no doubt that everyone would step up to the plate to make it happen, we don't want to put our dancers, their families, or all of our staff through that grueling schedule and we know we have to make a change for the good of everyone!
We've brainstormed MANY alternatives to what we've done the past few years, such as renting the hall another day and having the Solo Showcase on Sunday-but the rental fees for Hendricks Hall are just too much for a free performance and we didn't think everyone would want to spend another $10 per ticket. We've also considered limiting the number of routines we have available in the show-but how do you choose which dancers will perform? By drawing from a hat? How do we make that fair? We know that for many of you the benefit of the Solo Showcase is having a time for your out-of-town guests to see you perform-so having it on another weekend entirely (at a less expensive venue like Heckart Hall in Sedalia) really doesn't solve the issue. So, after debating this all year long, and keeping the well-being of our dancers foremost in our minds, we have reached the decision that there will NOT be a Saturday Morning show in hopes that this will allow everyone to more thoroughly enjoy the excitement of the entire weekend!
We know there will be some disappointment (and also secret relief even if no one wants to admit it!), but try to see this as a positive change!
Here is your chance to sleep in, to actually spend time with your family that has come in for the performance, to have a yummy breakfast or just to simply take some time to relax and refresh before you bring it on full force for the show!!!
We truly do care about each and every one of you. We honestly believe this is the best course of action to take for the well being of our studio families and we thank you in advance for supporting this difficult decision!
