SoCal Brewbus visits the Torrance Area Chamber
|
For the first time since the inception of this column, the featured business actually traveled to the chamber office! It was a pleasure to meet Phillip Johnson and to gain an up close and personal look at the
SoCal
Brew Bus.
With the craft beer scene exploding in Los Angeles county, growing from 5 to over 55 breweries in the past few years, taking a tour on the SoCal Brew Bus is the best way to explore them.

Governor Signs Job Creator Bill
|
A California Chamber of Commerce-supported job creator bill that incentivizes disability access and education was signed by Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. yesterday.
SB 269 (Roth; D-Riverside), which won unanimous bipartisan approval as it moved through the legislative process, will limit frivolous litigation and claims regarding construction-related accessibility violations by providing businesses that have proactively sought to become compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act with an opportunity to resolve any identified violations.

Thank you for Tech Pros, Dan Thomas!
|
The Torrance Area Chamber would like to extend a big thank you and fond farewell to Dan Thomas for running the Chamber's successful Tech Pros program for seven years! Dan brought this idea before the Board as early as 2008, and developed it into what it is today. Dan recently stepped down from his role as program chair due to higher demands from his expanded role at Time Warner Cable Business Class.
News about the future of this program will arrive soon. Dan built such a strong foundation that only good things are on the horizon.
Thanks again, Dan. You're welcome to join in on a future meeting anytime!
