Selecting the Next Dean: Search Committee Update

Selected from a very strong pool of 70 candidates, nine candidates have accepted our invitation to come to South Florida on May 23-24 to meet with the search committee. All primary invitations were accepted; no alternates were needed . 

The candidates will meet face-to-face for 75 minutes each with the members of the search committee .

Of that group, we expect 3-4 will be invited to come to campus for a 1½-day visit in June.  All members of the College, University and Boca Raton communities will have a chance to meet and interact with them at that time.

The committee was impressed with the diverse and accomplished pool of candidates and looks forward to getting to know them even more.
GME Retreat Update

The Board of Directors of the GME Consortium spent all day Monday May 9 th in a very productive retreat setting.  A number of budgetary, operational and planning decisions were made. 

The 2015-2016 academic year has been a busy one for this dedicated group of partnering CEOs & CMOs and it is clear that academic year 2016-2017 will be even busier!  

In addition to our excellent GME leadership team, I want to especially thank Ms. Audra Lazarus, Mr. Bill Donelan and Mr. Steve Bender for their truly excellent and dedicated efforts to support this important CoM initiative.
