Congregation-Wide Meeting
Discussing Campus Facilities
Sunday, May 22
11:15 am - 12:30 pm

Here is some of the feedback our Vestry has received on the state of our campus facilities:
  • the lack of airflow in the sanctuary on a hot day is unbearable;
  • the lighting in the sanctuary is too dim, especially on a cloudy day;
  • the Columbarium is used more as a pass-through than a sacred space;
  • the springs in the pews are giving way and poking up;
  • it's difficult to see the altar from the back pews because it's so far away;
  • and the sound echoes in McNaught Hall, making it difficult for some to hear coffee hour conversations.
These are inconveniences we've lived with for many years and could go on tolerating for many more. But should we? Other complaints require immediate remedies, such as:
  • our dying boiler;
  • our sewage problems;
  • accessibility for the disabled;
  • and parking lot potholes posing hazardous conditions for our unsteady walkers.
It's clear - now is the time to come together as a congregation and make some big decisions regarding the future of our charming St. Francis campus.

You will not want to miss out on this opportunity to add your voice to the conversation, as well as see some exciting drawings of a re-envisioned sanctuary as created by our architect. Our guest leader for the meeting will be Jerry Campbell from the Episcopal Church Foundation. He has extensive experience working with congregations and assisting them not only in helping them envision their future, but also in how to raise the needed funds to sustain our facilities for the next generation. All are welcome and encouraged to attend no matter if you've been attending St. Francis for many years or many weeks! A continental breakfast will be provided.  Childcare will be available.
