This Week's Top Ten!
1. Foster Care Ministry

United Methodist Children's Home
Foster Care Ministry

The United Methodist Children's Home (UMCH) envisions a world where every child is raised in a loving, compassionate and nurturing home. 150 foster children a month in Georgia are sleeping in hotel rooms supervised by strangers (a contracted state employee to be specific). The UMCH turns away an average of 30 foster kids a week. All because there are not enough foster homes.

This Sunday, Rev. Brett DeHart, Director of Church and Community Relations at The United Methodist Children's Home, will join us in all three worship services to provide our congregation with more information on the history of the Home, foster care/the foster care system and the Home's "Care Connection/Church Engagement Model for foster care.

2. General Conference

The conference can revise church law, as well as adopt resolutions on current moral, social, public policy and economic issues. It also approves plans and budgets for church-wide programs.

There are multiple ways you can follow along with the 2016 General Conference.
