I'm always on the look-out for a good glove deal, and when this AGV Spirit glove came up I grabbed them.

This is a "good for most anything" street leather glove.   It has a bit of a gauntlet, but it's not so large as to be a bother like a race glove. And it has great knuckle protection too.
These Spirit gloves are pretty darn nice! The black leather is soft and expensive feeling and the smooth surface gives a sharp look. I see this model appealing to a wide range of riders. They have a molded knuckle protector which looks and feels sturdy, and gives them a sport feel, but the “slip on” style of the glove is more like an everyday work glove. When I say “slip on” I mean the cuff of the glove is more or less open and does not close down with Velcro etc. They’ll be breezy in the wrist because they won’t be tight around the wrist, but the leather does provide some good coverage well over the wrist bone.
Shipping Tip:  These gloves, when ordered alone, will ship to any US address for $3.99 via First Class Mail.  Or combine a pair with other items to reach $89 to get free shipping.

Three new jackets in this week
AGV Sport Laguna Vented Jacket

The Laguna Vented jacket by AGV Sport is one of those styles that has a very breathable shell, but then has a dual liner setup to help you adapt to varying weather conditions.  The shell is about 50% mesh jacket, so the air will blow right through those panels. And also you’ll find two large vents on the shoulders to draw in a bit more air. So with all that venting, this jacket, without the liners in use, will be comfortable into the most hot days… almost, but not quite as good as a full mesh jacket.  The dual liner setup is your typical arrangement… a waterproof/windproof liner and also a separate thermal liner. If it gets cool out, or rainy out, use just the waterproof liner alone. And if it gets colder, put in the insulated liner as well.......( more)
JoeRocket Meta-X Jacket

The Meta-X jacket is a bit of a hybrid style in terms of materials. You can see right away it is a mix of leather and fabric. The fabric is sort of different though… it is very tight weave mesh material, so it does flow SOME air. So this one is a mix between a solid shell jacket and a mesh jacket. Overall, the jacket is very sturdy feeling and I’m sure would do a great job in case of a crash, but with the part-textile/mesh construction, it isn’t quite as heavy and wouldn’t be quite as hot to wear as full leather. But with the removable liner in use, I think it would be pretty warm. I’m going to say you’d be comfortable from cold weather to warm weather, but not super hot weather.  I like this new style. The styling is not like a lot of other brands/styles out there which is a nice change. The combination of leather and textile makes for a lighter weight jacket that has the abrasion resistance of leather still, and the fit and style are easy and will appeal to many types of riders......( more)
AGV Sport Strike Soft Shell Jacket

This new Strike Soft Shell Jacket is something very different than what I usually see. It might not look different, but it feels quite different than your average textile style. First of all, the overall styling is VERY sedate… plain black or plain blue with nearly no badging. And the fabric is “soft” to the touch, much like what you expect to find in a causal/athletic jacket for everyday wear—-sort of like a light weight neoprene. Anyway, the fabric is comfortable and does not appear to wrinkle which gives it a nice “dress” look. I can picture somebody who rides to work in an urban environment liking this style because it has some protection, but looks like a sharp fall/spring jacket you might wear with nice jeans or slacks. I definitely don’t get a grunge or technical vibe.....( more)
