rayon nylon ponte

Same goods as our popular Metropolitan ponte, but half again its weight. It is the perfect weight for dresses or tunics. Soft, drapey, but with plenty of stability for slightly structured separates. This will be your go-to ponte knit this season. We bought plenty, but we encourage you to get your orders in quickly.

cotton jersey

In this tonal print, an abundance of stemmed blossoms are strewn on a black ground. The richness is in the neutrality of the stylized florals. The variety of gray tones have subtle undertones of dusky lavender. For some, the best feature of this jersey knit will be its fiber content of cotton/spandex. It is perfect for dresses, tops, tunics, tees and turtles.
wool

Ready for a stunning wool dress in grape navy blue? This lightweight wool has a fine texture that adds body and interest to the fabrication. Great choice for dresses, softly structured separates and suits.
Color Chips
digital print on poly knit

Multi-colored pentagonal color chips (cherry pink and taffy pink, grape and lavender, watery tones of aqua, mint green and foliage green) wander over a soft black ground on this silky knit. This is digitally printed which gives the colors complexity and vibrance. Lightweight and drapey, this jersey knit will work well for dresses, tops or tunics. Imported from France. Poly/Lycra.
Signature
cotton stretch satin

Luscious earthy brownish green in a stable cotton satin is perfect for skirts, pants or jackets. This is a fabulous staple for those who like a color that is just a bit different than the usual classics. Also available in navy and white
cotton brocade

When it comes to jackets, it's all about texture. This wonderful brocade imported from France is all cotton. The black ground supports irregular layered rings in oaken brown, soft earth tones and rich moss green. Perfect for slightly structured top layers to wear throughout the season
Silk de Jour
silk crepe stretch

Silk crepe blouses and dresses make a great daytime wardrobe element. This comfortable fabric has a good bit of stretch, great for fitting a slim silhouette or draping a classic style. Dark earthy olive is a rich neutral for many seasonal coordinates. Also available in black. If you wash your fabric, you can wash your blouse omitting the dry cleaner that is necessary for ready-to-wear purchases

Sew 'N Tell
with Ruth C

Ruth has been sewing from her stash...

I still have some nice fabrics to sew and thought I would share this

finished cardigan made from Simplicity 2148 in your lovely Anna Sui Surat
boucle sweater knit. I have a similar style almost finished in the Anna Sui
Phantasmagoria print as well. Both are very cozy in the cold weather we are getting at the moment.

Kindest regards,
Sandra

Lets see
what you
have been sewing!

Email me a picture of your sewing project and I will post it in an upcoming newsletter and put it in our blog posts!

The fabric is Code, from 2012

Ruth tells us the pattern is from Vogue #8997

You did a beautiful job, Ruth!

Thanks for sharing with us!
