You Make the Difference!

Have you started going to the gym? Have you started walking around the neighborhood to lower your blood pressure? Or have you just taken a moment to focus on relaxing to reduce stress? Congratulations! You have made a decision to live a healthier life!

But your efforts at self-improvement do not need to stop there. As a research volunteer, you can continue to improve your life and the lives of future generations by learning more about your health. Your participation in research studies is the key to the development of new treatments and knowledge about what it takes to improve the health and well-being of our society.

Contrary to popular belief, you don't have to be sick to participate in research! All volunteers are an integral part of the research process regardless of their health status. People volunteer for clinical studies for many reasons like the desire to improve medical care for future generations, or a connection to a certain disease or illness through personal experience. Others may just have an interest in science. You don't have to pick just one reason, there is room for everyone in ResearchMatch.

Not convinced? Here are four simple ways in which volunteering makes a difference:

  • You could learn new information about your condition or the condition that is being studied.
  • You can share what you have learned with your family and friends to help them make positive health changes.
  • You can help educate researchers about what is important or what works for you, your family and your community.
  • You could contribute to a new discovery or treatment for a rare disease.

Find your reason and Get Matched Today!
