MAY 2016

If it's May, it must mean it's Graduation Season. Do you know any students interested in their hire education as well as their higher education? This spring, in addition to the general job fairs, we're offering opportunities specifically for postsecondary graduates and older youth/young adults ages 16-24. If you are the parent of one or more students/grads we encourage you to check into these opportunities. If you are an employer interested in recruiting, be sure to check out the Job Fair information below.

Manufacturing is one of our area's key industries. We are continuing to promote manufacturing careers to the region's high school students, their parents, teachers and counselors via our video project. Video Project Promotes Area Manufacturers
MANUFACTURING TALENT PIPELINE VIDEOS
CareerSource Citrus Levy Marion, in partnership with the Mid-Florida Regional Manufacturers Association (MRMA), is showcasing local manufacturing and logistics companies through videos that hone in on the variety, strength and growth of the industry. It is anticipated that in the next five years the three-county region will experience a shortage in trained workforce for manufacturing. That could have a major impact in our communities where, year-to-date (2016) the Ocala Metropolitan Area has consistently ranked among the top metros in Florida for manufacturing job growth.

To learn more about the project, contact Rob Adamiak at [email protected] or 352-840-5764. To view the videos, click the link below.
