Announcing Miss World Cameroon 2014
LARISSA NGANGOUM FORMER MISS CAMEROON USA 2013 -2014

Dear Readers and Supporters, We Have a Winner,

The Miss Cameroon USA and Miss Africa USA Teams are very honored to present to you the new Miss World Cameroon.  Larissa Ngangoum a 24 year old Pharmacy Student in Haggerstown Maryland was crowned Miss Cameroon at the Nation's Capital Yaounde on July 25 2014.  We are very Proud of Larissa who served as Miss Cameroon USA 2013 until she handed over her crown to her Successor Nora Ndemazia in April this year.  She was sponsored by the Miss Cameroon USA Team to Participate in the National Miss Cameroon Pageant for an opportunity to represent Cameroon in Miss World.  We believed in her abilities and she proved us right.  WE HAVE A WINNER!!!!!!

We want to use this opportunity to congratulate the Miss Cameroon Organization COMICA in Yaounde for putting up a very excellent show.  We also appreciate the vision of the President of COMICA Mme Solange Amoughou for incorporating the diaspora in the competition.  Cameroonians abroad are passionate about their country and this is a great opportunity for young Cameroonian girls abroad to feel part of their country of birth and help to contribute to the growth and development of the nation.

The Contest was certainly very well organized, very elegant and a great Cameroonian Cultural Showcase. Kudos again to COMICA and to all the beautiful young ladies who participated.  We also thank the Television Channel CANAL 2 for Live Broadcast via the Internet.

Several Cameroonian Legends graced the event, including one of Cameroon's greatest Footballer of all Times,  Roger Milla, pictured above.

Miss Cameroon USA Pageant remains very proud of Queen Larissa and will continue to support her all the way to London for the Miss World Competition coming up November/December 2014.  She needs all of us to support her, she has what it takes to win the Miss World Crown, she is beautiful, intelliegent, eloquent and her platform is to ensure that every little girl gets the opportunity to go to school.  She believes Education is a basic human right for all children. She launched her Education Campaign earlier this year in Washington DC in collaboration with Youth for Human Rights, starting with an essay competition for children in Cameroon, The winners of the contest were awarded scholarships to continue their education. She hopes to build on that platform.
