On March 22, an elite group of ladies went out to Lincoln Hills and worked with Steve Treadway on their short games ... putting, chipping, bunkers, and pitching were all on the agenda. It was a beautiful day, and everyone picked up new skills and polished up their old skills ... oh ... and everyone had a great time!!

It's almost time ... less than 2 weeks away!!
Starting April 9th at Arcade Creek (Haggin Oaks), please join us for 9 holes of golf. Tee times start at 5:30. You do not have to play regularly, just come out when you can. No registration is required, but please let Judy Mayes know if you are planning to play. We only have room for 16 players and this is a very popular event. The "early bird catches the worm", so the sooner you let her know every week that you plan to play, the more assured you are of a spot!
Once you have contacted Judy, you will be added to the mailing list so that you get an email each week with the opportunity to sign up. You can email Judy at [email protected].

If you are not signed up to play in the Match Play League, this is a great opportunity to play anyway!
For every round of the League, there are always golfers who can't play that day and need someone to sub for them. If you put your name on the sub list, you will probably be able to play every round if you want! And, even if you are on the sub list, you only have to say "yes" when you want to - you are under no obligation!!
The League will be played at several different courses this year:
Sunday, April 13 - Bing Maloney
Sunday, April 27 - Bartley Cavanaugh
Saturday, May 10 - Haggin Oaks MacKenzie
Sunday, June 1 - Bing Maloney

And, speaking of Match Play ... don't forget about the Match Play Rules seminar on Tuesday, April 8 at 5:30pm in the Haggin Oaks Trailer.
If you are playing in the Match Play League (or on the sub list), or if you are interested in playing on the Cal Cup or EWGA Cup teams, or if you just want to know more about Match Play, you need to come to this seminar!!
John Nakamura, past NCGA President and Tournament Official, will highlight the rules of match play and the differences from stroke play. Even if you feel that you are an experienced Match Play competitor, you will almost definitely pick up some new information!
Registration is open until Saturday, April 5, but you might as well sign up now while you are thinking about it!!

EWGA Sacramento will be marshaling on the 16th hole!
