Orr Associates, Inc. (OAI) invites you to a free interactive session presented

by The Foundation Center-New York:

Tuesday, May 20, 2014

10:00am - 12:00pm ET

The Foundation Center

79 Fifth Avenue, between 15th and 16th Streets

Second Floor

New York, NY 10003

The Millennial generation represents the 80 million people born roughly between 1979 and 1999. Today, Millennials may not be your biggest donors, but they are predicted to receive the largest transfer of wealth from their Baby Boomer and Greatest Generation parents and grandparents (SOURCE: Planned Giving Design Center). In order to take full advantage of Millennials' future giving power, nonprofits must create opportunities to engage these donors now - developing relationships to drive their long-term involvement with your organization.

Creating a donor strategy for young leaders does take an investment of time and financial resources, but it is not as difficult as you may think, and the results are long-lasting. During this interactive session, you will learn through case study examples how to engage young donors in ways that will have a long term impact, including:

  • Connecting them to your mission;
  • Providing opportunities that match their social interests; and
  • Providing hands-on ways to get involved in your nonprofit's cause.

You will come away from this session with a toolkit of best practices for developing a strategy that will successfully engage young donors and set them on a path to become major donors in the future.
