Dear Victory Baptist Church Family,

As you all are aware, the property in which we currently reside, has been a topic of conversation for future development amongst our landlords and the city of Burbank. These conversations have recently turned into reality and our building, along with our surrounding neighbors, will soon be demolished as the Talaria at Burbank is being constructed.

Although at first glance this may seem like devastating news, I want to remind you that the church is not simply a building in which we gather, but rather a called out people that come together regardless of location to serve, worship, and proclaim our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Transition is nothing new to this church family, and as a result of your past faithfulness, we have all seen God's mighty hand working here at Victory Baptist Church. Over the last few years, we have seen miracles in growth, both in attendance and spiritual maturity. We have seen our financial situation go from one of uncertainty, to one of strength. We have seen many lives changed, families reconciled, and souls saved. Our God is still at work here and has great plans for the future of our church, so I am asking you to come together as a family and trust Him once again. He is always willing and we need to be willing as well.

Knowing that this was always a possibility, as well as seeing that we are already outgrowing this location, the deacons and I have already be been in contact with the city real estate agents and property management companies to proactively seek out the best possible location for our new journey.  The city has expressed the desire to keep us in Burbank and has offered to help us in this effort. As always, I will keep you informed regularly as to the progress and surrounding time frames.

So please join me as we embark on this exciting new chapter in the history of Victory Baptist Church! Romans 8:28 says: "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."

Last time I checked, we have a church family that loves God and one that is called to His purpose, which means we can claim this promise with boldness and excitement knowing that the best is yet to come!  I love you all and I am honored to be called your pastor. As Paul once said to the new believers in I Corinthians chapter eleven and verse one, "Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ."

In Christ,

Pastor Nick Reed
