Nine months since the start of the unrest in Ukraine, and six months since the sniper shootings in Kiev, the situation in Ukraine continues to be very difficult.

With Federation dollars, we have been able to provide essential care to 6,000 elderly Jews and 10,000 at-risk children in the region through the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee's (JDC) Hesed Relief Centers.

However, during this latest crisis, where aid workers and volunteers have remained in the war zone, the need for food, water, lifesaving medications and homecare services are harder to come by. This is where we need you!

As of September 12:
  • 5,231 individuals remain in the conflict zones of Donetsk & Lugansk
  • 2,134 Eastern Ukraine Jews have been forced to flee their homes

While JDC is providing services to assist with these individuals, continued support is needed. With winter approaching in just a few weeks, the cost for basic necessities will continue to increase. Give today.
