Report: Clean Energy Techs Cut Road CO2 Emissions
A new report from Lux Research has found that using low-carbon fuels and vehicle efficiency will cut road transport CO2 emissions 29 percent by 2030. Biofuels and natural gas combined will account for 45 percent of petroleum displacement. Today, global road transportation accounts for a sixth of all global CO2 emissions.

Hungarian Delegates Visit Enginuity Worldwide
Missouri-based Enginuity Worldwide hosted a group of energy delegates from Hungary recently where they learned more about the company's biotechnology efforts. The company has developed technology that turns local agriculture waste into renewable solid biomass fuel. The delegation was comprised of project developers, including Gabor Nagy, Andras Herozeg, Daniel Szollosi-Nagy, and Gabor Kaczmarczyk, who spent time assessing Enginuity's patented rotary compression technology to deploy for use in Hungary.

Cellerate + Enogen = More Ethanol Production
According to Syngenta, the combination of Cellerate process technology with Enogen can increase ethanol production by 20 percent. The 18 day trial was conducted at the Quad County Corn Processors (QCCP) plant. Since going online, the ethanol plant has produced more than 3 million gallons of cellulosic ethanol via the Cellerate process. The resulting ethanol is sold as a D3 Rin under the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) and the pathway will be submitted to the California Air Resources Board for approval.

AgriLabs® has entered into the vaccine manufacturing business with a new USDA-licensed facility in Lincoln, Nebraska. They have also acquired Lincoln-based Antelope Valley Bios and Benchmark Biolabs, and Benchmark's ownership interest of VaxLiant®. AgriLabs will now offer complete concept-to-commercialization services for vaccines used in swine, cattle, poultry and other species.

New Holland Sponsors Awards for NCBA Recruitment
The Kansas Livestock Association and the Colorado Cattlemen's Association each earned use of a piece of equipment from New Holland Agriculture for their outstanding efforts to recruit new members to the National Cattlemen's Beef Association. Each of these NCBA affiliates will get its choice of a one-year lease on a New Holland Roll-Belt™ 560 Specialty Crop round baler or a one-year lease on a New Holland T6 175 tractor. The organizations received their awards at the NCBA's Legislative Conference in Washington, D.C., April 12-14.

Texas A&M Wins 69th USPOULTRY Poultry Judging Contest
Texas A&M University wins the High Team Overall category at the 69th USPOULTRY Foundation Ted Cameron National Poultry Judging Contest, held at Louisiana State University. LSU placed a close second. Additionally, Trent Dugas, senior at LSU, was announced high individual overall winner, and Bailey Miller, senior at Texas A&M University, finished second overall.
