2016 Rumpke Spring Cleanup
Hamilton, Ohio - I n an effort to assist residents with their spring cleaning, the City of Hamilton, in conjunction with Rumpke, will host a city-wide, curbside cleanup throughout the city on two separate dates. The first cleanup will occur on the west side of the river on Saturday, May 28. The second cleanup will occur on the east side of the river on Saturday, June 4.

During these cleanups, residents will be permitted to place multiple items and/or large items at the curb for collection and disposal. Any items to be disposed should be placed at the curb on the Friday preceding the respective cleanup date - May 27 on the west side of the river and June 3 on the east side of the river. Rumpke will collect most items placed at the curb during the cleanup; however there are limitations on what Rumpke will collect and dispose.

The following items will not be collected by Rumpke during the city-wide cleanup:
  • Overloaded and/or wet boxes.
  • Barrels or drums
  • Waste oil
  • Construction and/or remodeling materials
  • Electronic appliances
  • Items containing chlorofluorocarbons (any item with a coolant in it, refrigerators, freezers, microwaves, etc.)
  • Tires
  • Batteries
  • Paint
  • Hazardous materials
  • Yard Waste
  • Weekly household garbage
    • Clearing out debris and clutter and placing in a can or cart at the curb is permissible, but please put your normal household garbage at the curb on your regular collection day.
