Reza's short performance will be followed by a hands-on teaching style workshop and Q&A session.

With spring cleaning underway, many of us are left to contemplate how to preserve historical photos, documents, slides and other objects.
 
Stop by the Rapid City Historical Collections Room downtown where our trained staff will start you on your path to digitizing those family treasures.
 
Library staff will be available to digitize a sample of your collections. The public will be provided with the digital copies and will have the option to donate both the physical and digital items if desired.

Dorothy Rosby is a syndicated humor columnist whose work appears in newspapers in eleven Western and Midwestern states, as well as in local and national magazines. Rosby will touch on topics from her latest book I Didn't Know You Could Make Birthday Cake from Scratch:  Parenting Blunders from Cradle to Empty Nest and I Used to Think I was not that Bad and Then I Got to Know Me Better published in 2014.

Antonio Banderas, Rodrigo Santoro and Martin Sheen star in this ensemble drama detailing the real events of the 2010 mining disaster in which 33 Chilean miners were trapped inside the San José mine  for more than two months. Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Héctor Tobar , author of Deep Down Dark, received exclusive access to the miners and their tales from which the film was adapted.

Popcorn and beverages will be served. 
This film is rated PG-13.

Multi-instrumentalist Arjun Ayyangar appeared at age four in NBC's America's Most Talented Kids. Now at age 17 Ayyangar has performed in concert halls throughout New York City, Philadelphia and Austria.
 
Thirteen-year-old Aparna Ayyangar excels in piano and harp winning many music competitions and performing in venues in New York City and Philadelphia.

Aparna attends Southwest Middle School and Arjun is a junior at SDSMT.
