NEW! Weekly Staff Picks - this week from Alishea!
|
I am super excited about this year's conference. There are so many great trainings and workshops to choose from. I am always interested in new/different ways to look at common problems in relationships. That is why I have chosen the trainings and workshops below.
One of the trainings I am most interested in is Dr. Gary Oliver's Emotional & Relational Intelligence (ERQ) and Healthy Marriages, 1T-11.
Also I am very curious about the following workshops being offered:
- A-2 Hal Runkel, ScreamFree Marriage: The 6 Principles of a ScreamFree Marriage
- G-6 Stacey Bouchet, Training Female Service Providers to Effectively Engage Fathers
- I-3 Deanna Brann, Man in the Middle: The Significant Role Men Play in the Mother-in-Law/Daughter-in-Law Relationship
Besides the workshops and trainings, I am also looking forward to the networking evening at TopGolf. Full disclosure I have never played golf. However after visiting TopGolf, I think this will be a blast. We will have a chance to learn to play this new spin on golf together as well as eat dinner and network!! I cannot wait to see each of you in Frisco, TX!!

It compared and contrasted the characteristics of husbands and wives whose marriages had lasted an average of 39 years. The results: When the husband showed a higher level of positivity, the wife in a couple reported less marital conflict. Read More

How to Save Marriage in America
|
American marriage is not dying. But it is undergoing a metamorphosis, prompted by a transformation in the economic and social status of women and the virtual disappearance of low-skilled male jobs. The old form of marriage, based on outdated social rules and gender roles, is fading. A new version is emerging-egalitarian, committed, and focused on children. Read More
